Upper Primary

The Cambridge Upper Primary programme offers classes from Year 4 to Year 6 for children aged 9 to 12 years, with each programme lasting 10 months. This curriculum builds on earlier learning, focusing on advanced skills in English, Mathematics, and Science. Students also engage in subjects like arts and physical education to ensure well-rounded development. The programme includes regular assessments to monitor progress and prepare students for the transition to secondary education. The curriculum focuses on five main core subjects: Cambridge English, Cambridge Mathematics, Cambridge Science, Cambridge Global Perspectives, and Cambridge Computing to build a strong academic foundation.

Subject

Cambridge Computing

Cambridge Computing is divided into five strands as: Computational Thinking, Programming, Managing Data, Networks and Digital Communication, and Computer Systems. This subject offers students the opportunity to look inside a computer to understand the purpose of different components and let learners develop coding skills on visual programming languages, such as Scratch, and learn that computers can only perform actions that humans ask them to do.

Cambridge Global Perspective

Cambridge Global Perspective develops the skills of six Challenges as research, analysis, evaluation, reflection, collaboration and communication in a year. The skills are taught through a wide range of topics using a personal, local and global perspective which help learners to look at a variety of global issues or topics that give a range of contexts.

Cambridge Science

Cambridge Science covers six main strands and helps learners develop a life-long curiosity about the natural world and enables them to seek scientific explanations to the phenomena around them. This subject will also motivate learners’ awareness of science in the world around them by considering sustainability issues and meeting the challenges facing our environment.

Cambridge Mathematics

Cambridge Mathematics has divided into three main strands, which run through every primary mathematics stage as: Number, Geometry and Measure, Statistics and Probability. Learners can develop a holistic understanding of the subject, focusing on principles, patterns, systems, functions and relationships mathematically and fluently to everyday situations.

Cambridge English

Cambridge English supports an integrated approach to teaching the four skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening. This subject encourages learners to apply all four skills effectively in everyday situations and respond to a range of different audiences and purposes.

Physical Education

Physical Education (P.E.) is an active subject focused on promoting fitness, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle. Students engage in various sports, exercises, and physical activities that enhance their strength, coordination, and overall well-being. P.E. fosters teamwork, discipline, and a lifelong appreciation for physical health.

S.T.E.M

S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) is an interdisciplinary subject designed to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and innovation skills. It integrates scientific inquiry, technological advancements, engineering principles, and mathematical concepts to explore real-world challenges and solutions. Through hands-on projects and collaborative learning, students gain a deeper understanding of how these fields work together to shape the future.

Chinese Languange

Our program uses the textbook used in mainland china and the instructions to fluent in 4 skills in Chinese; reading, writing, listening and speaking for native students.

Myanmar

Myanmar Government Textbook guidance by Myanmar National curriculum is used at school to support the students’ proficiency in reading and writing in Myanmar.

Digital Literacy

Digital Literacy is a foundational subject that equips students with the skills to effectively and responsibly use technology in today digital world. Students learn about online safety, basic coding, digital communication, and navigating various digital tools. This subject fosters critical thinking, creativity, and ethical use of technology.

Music

Music is an expressive subject that nurtures creativity, rhythm, and a love for sound. Students explore singing, playing instruments, and understanding musical concepts like melody, harmony, and rhythm. Through performance and listening, they develop skills in collaboration, self-expression, and cultural appreciation.

Dance

Dance is a dynamic subject that combines movement, rhythm, and expression to develop physical coordination, creativity, and cultural appreciation. Students learn various dance styles, techniques, and choreography, enhancing their confidence, discipline, and artistic flair. Through dance, they explore storytelling and self-expression in a fun and engaging way.

Art and Craft

Art and Craft is a creative subject that encourages self-expression and imagination through various artistic techniques and hands-on activities. Students explore drawing, painting, sculpting, and crafting while learning about colors, textures, and design. This subject fosters creativity, fine motor skills, and an appreciation for art and culture.
